Delivery rules in Alberta

Licensed stores with a physical location can sell online once AGLC endorses their licence, and that endorsement covers delivery.

  • AGLC’s licensee search marks which licensed stores are endorsed for online sales and delivery. That is the list we use for the “Delivery endorsed by AGLC” badge.
  • Only the retailer or a common carrier (such as Canada Post) may deliver; food delivery and ride-hailing apps cannot.
  • No delivery to a minor or an intoxicated person, and government-issued photo ID must be checked if the person appears under 25.
  • Delivery only to places in Alberta where possession is legal, with a limit of 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent) per order.
  • A retailer’s website homepage must show its licence numbers, store names and addresses, and a link to AGLC’s licensee search.

We list only regulator-licensed stores. We never list unlicensed delivery services or mail-order sites. A seller that isn’t on the official licence list, offers to ship from another province, or skips the ID check isn’t legal. Delivery rules in every province →
